The BIG Day!!

Well today is the day I leave for New York at 12:45.  I wont see my house, family, friends, pets or anything for 10 months!  Im kind of at a loss for words, this is the thing Ive been waiting for since I found out about the YES Abroad program and its finally here!!

Ive spent two days with my sister, Kelsey, in Bloomington IN kind of a vacation before I leave for Ghana and saying goodbye.  I will leave for home (Greenwood, IN) around 10:00 am and be back home by around 11:30 if everything goes well, this will be my longest drive solo EVER.

Host Family Update!!!

I will be staying in Kumasi with a wonderful family of 6 who so far seem really awesome! I will be attending Asanteman Senior High and Im thinking I will take the Visual Arts program!

My trip info!!

I leave for New York, New York on September 7th stay for a day then fly to Amsterdam (Netherlands) and then finaly to Accra Ghana!  I will be in Ghana for aproximately 11 months and well Im really excited!!  I havent gotten to much information on were I will be staying all I really know is its going to either be in the Accra or Kumasi area
